The Little Graphics Card That Could
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Even in 2020, this little guy can keep up. I bought one to finish my first PC build and have no problems. My sights are still set on a 3070, but I can play pretty much any game so long as it's not graphic intensive. If it is, turning everything down can help, which might be a breaking point for many. I would not recommend this product to people who want to have good graphics or play the AAA newest games on the market, but if all you're looking for is functionality at a good price, you really can't go wrong with the 1030.

Good budget NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5PNY - NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 2GB GDDR5 PCI graphics card is a good card for those on a budget, and limited power supply capacity. It only sink about 30 watts of power from your PCIe slot. plus it is also a half height model, which allow for smaller format case. Plus it also have a HDMI port for those who would like to connect to a big screen. I don't have any complaint on it as it is working fine, since I had it. I installed into my Lenovo 510A which have an Intel i7-9700 CPU, with 16 GB of Ram and a 512 GB SSD.

Great card but not good for old pc
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendItt worked great but then one day my pc turned off and wouldnt turn on again until I removed this graphic card and put back the old one. Turns out the graphic card was too OP for the power supply in my pc. Make sure your power supply is 300 watts or more if you buy this card. My was 225 watts.

Pentium 4 - Still kicking Thanks to GeForce GT1030
|Posted .Features
Quality4 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5Installed this in an old intel motherboard with a Pentium 4 2.80 GHz processor. The previous video card was a GeForce 710 with 2 GB of GDDR3 memory. The motherboard RAM is 2 GB. This card has 2 GB of GDDR5 memory. This made a huge improvement in a truly ancient computer that is only used occasionally. I can now stream news programs from the internet (i.e. Newsmax). This computer also has a solid state drive. A video card any larger than this would simply not fit in the old server case.

Q: QuestionDoes this come with a low profile bracket?
Asked by Ares.
- A:Answer I just bought this at BestBuy. It does include the low profile bracket.

Q: QuestionI can't see anything in the specs listed here as far as power requirements; do I need to upgrade my power supply? What does this graphics card draw?
Asked by salemgal.
- A:Answer You most like won't need a power supply upgrade. I bought this card for that exact reason. I put it in a Dell Optiplex 790 slim and it had a Dell standard factory 240 Watt power supply and it runs fine as an entry level gaming machine running many modern game titles at 30FPS on Med/High settings and 1080 resolution.

Q: QuestionWould this be an upgrade from a GT 730? Does it have the similar power requirements?
Asked by Vatrapper.
- A:Answer Obviously systems specs come into play in addition to upgrading the graphics card, but generally you should see your frame rate almost double in games by upgrading from a GT 730 to a GT 1030 ..so nearly a 100% performance increase on average.

Q: QuestionDoes this support 4K at 60hz over HDMI?
Asked by wnhs.
- A:Answer Yes. It will handle 4K. Keep it mind it is NOT a high end Game card requiring 100fps( frames per second) I use it mine edit HD movies. Search Youtube for OzTalksHW reviews.

Q: QuestionWhat kind of a slot do these cards require ?
Asked by Jimmy.
- A:Answer Card requires a PCI Express X 16 Slot. That would be the one about 3&1/2" long with the first tab up next to the bracket being about 1/2".

Q: QuestionI have a nvidia 580 in Aurora rig, 6 yrs old. Running W-7 Pro/64, eight cores I7-2600, and PS=800 watts. Concern is head room. Will this reliably replace the 580? My rig is crashing to BSD when booted from C:HDD, it appears the nvidia drivers are cause
Asked by JDVMSR.
- A:Answer The 1030 is slower than your 580, but if that is not an issue then the 1030 pulls a lot less power and is smaller in size, so I'm not entirely sure what you mean by headroom. A 1050 would be better than your card for not much more money and would still be smaller and more power efficient, 30W for the 1030, 75W for the 1050, and 288W for the 580.

Q: QuestionI have a del xps 8300 and the radeon hd 6770 it came with is dying. Will this work in that system? I only run overwatch and warcraft, dont need a zillion fps, just to tide over til new rig.
Asked by Toastr.
- A:Answer As long as the system is not an all-in-one version of the 8300, the card should work just fine.
