Being that you initially posted your question some two (2) months ago, I will be willing to bet that you have already found an answer to your important question out of necessity as you are already well into your Online course work; however, I will attempt to provide, at least, "some" guidance as, perhaps, there are other people who can benefit from my efforts. I went on YouTube.com and I entered the search term => How to download Java JRE on a Windows 10 OS (a.k.a., operating system). There were several entries which populated; however, my attention was drawn to two (2) of them => (1) How to Download & Install Java JDK,JRE on Windows 10 ? and (2) JDK and JRE full installation on windows 10. I never had any need to make use of this Java JRE program which you speak of so my review of these aforementioned Online tutorials wouldn't really be appropriate; however, the Online YouTube tutorial featured in #2 (i.e., JDK and JRE full installation on windows 10) caught my attention as it is 11:48 minutes long. I sent along a screen shot of same. I do not know if any cost is involved in downloading these programs and please make certain that they are from the "actual" publishers<>owner's of the program to avoid any introduction of computer virus, etc. Best of luck to you Programs in your scholarly pursuits!

It has been some nine (9) weeks since you have asked your question and I will be willing to bet that you have already found an answer which would address your concerns long ago; however, I am sure that there are others out there who could benefit from a response to your question--due to the popularity and widespread use of Netflix. If you left click onto the Microsoft "flag" on the extreme lower left of your taskbar of this Windows 10 OS (a.k.a. operating system) laptop your list of programs will pop up. They should be in alphabetical order and you and others will see that Netflix comes "pre-installed." If you click onto that Netflix icon, you will be given the opportunity to join "FREE" for one month and you can cancel at any time. For those that don't have access to the above configuration, I went on YouTube.com and I entered the search term => How to use a Windows 10 laptop to play Netflix? There were several entries which populated; however, here are three (3) which drew my attention => (1) How to get Netflix App for your Windows 10 computer [tutorial], (2) How to watch Netflix on Windows 10 [Tutorial], and (3) How to download Netflix in Windows 10. I did not make an attempt to view those Online videos so I cannot and will not make any recommenations about them; however, they "may" serve to offer additional insight regarding the installation and best ways to make use of the Netflix viewing option. There were a whole lot of Online video tutorials which attempted to address this matter; however, I picked from some of those which had the most "viewings." I realize that it has been nearly some three (3) months since you posted your question on this website; however, your efforts to present this question regarding the usage<>downloading of iTunes I am certain will help others. - A:Answer Hello Best Buy customer Anonymous and thank you for asking this question as an "attempt" to address your concerns of acquiring the proper application of car charger for this HP 15.6" laptop model 15-BS113DX might not only help yourself, but other Best Buy customers as well as we have become an extremely mobile society! To be quite honest, I saw your question on this Best Buy website venue shortly after it was posted nearly one (1) week ago; however, I avoided even attempting to answer it as I knew that, particularly with an expensive item like a computer and it being such a sensitive electronic device, the goal "must be" to select the right application of any computer hardware, etc. introduced into its operation. To obtain an answer for you, I conducted searches on GOOGLE and YouTube.com and I used the search term "Universal car charger for HP laptop model 15-BS113DX." First, I went on Best Buy's website and entered the product search term => "laptop car charger." However, I could not find a purchase option. There are the larger Internet "stores;" however, in the course of viewing some of the YouTube.com videos on this laptop car charger topic I viewed videos where some people indicated that aftermarket laptop car chargers had done some serious damage to their laptops--one person stated that the car charger he purchased "fried" his laptop! I cannot and would not make any recommendation of any brand or model of an aftermarket car charger; however, I did come across a Targus Brand universal car charger which is manufacturer part # APD33US. It states that this Targus car charger allows the user to "power and charge on-the-go from your RV, car, or boat and it is designed specifically for HP, Compaq, Dell, Acer, Toshiba, Gateway, IBM, Lenovo, Asus, Sony and Fujitsu. Again, due to my limited knowledge of this model and all laptop car chargers this is "not" an endorsement. I would advise you to phone Targus product support at 1-877-482-7487 and prior to doing so I would have the model number of this laptop and as many product specifications handy as you are able to have on hand. I would also phone HP tech/product support with any other compatibility questions you may have of this car charger. Who knows, someone at HP product/tech support may have some degree of familiarity with Targus brand or other brand laptop car chargers. This Targus car charger comes with several interchangeable tips and the correct tip "must" be incorporated into the connection. I have provided a photo image of this specific Targus car charger product below; however, perhaps there is a chance if you phone the Targus product support number above with your "specific" HP laptop model number (pre-purchase!) that they may provide further guidance. Please proceed with caution and I wish you success in finding the "right" car charger for this great HP 15.6" laptop.

It has been nearly 2-1/2 weeks since you've posted your product question on the Best Buy website and you may have already found a solution; however, an answer might help others who assume ownership of this laptop and want to know about "proper" laptop lid opening procedure. Caring for electronics the right way might extend the life of, say, a computer. I provided an image below of a 15" HP laptop and, although it is not an image of this exact model, it will serve as an aid in explaining how to properly open this HP laptop. If you were to stand in front of this HP model 15-BS113DX where the "front" open side of the laptop is positioned closest to you and as you looked down at the unopened lid the "HP" logo would be upside down (i.e. visually speaking), you could feel and/or spot a slight raise in the black plastic top lid in the center portion of that lid (i.e., on the "horizontal" top lid's edge which is closest to you). I gently lift up the lid of this HP laptop by placing a finger under that slight protrusion. Please be careful that the base of the laptop does not shift in any way as you lift up on the lid. I hope that my detailed answer helps you and others. Not all computer brands have this raised area on the laptop's lid to make opening it easier; however, HP chooses to incorporate it.

- A:Answer Hello Best Buy customer Edward and thank you for asking this question as a somewhat detailed answer may help you and others using this and other Windows 10 OS (a.k.a., operating systems). I am so very glad that it has only been some twelve (12) hours since you first posted your question! It is my belief and hope that what you are seeing and encountering with this sound icon and laptop volume issue is really nothing to worry about. Here are some things which you might want to look into => (1) if you take the cursor and place it over the "speaker" icon to the right on your lower task bar (i.e., located just to the left of the time and date!) and then "left" click onto that speaker icon just above that you will see a rectangular black background box/pop up panel. You will also see an additional (only slightly larger!) speaker icon located within the left of that box and, in addition, you will see a horizontal bar which has a "blue" indicator. If you place your cursor over that blue indicator you can adjust your laptop's sound "volume" setting from zero (0) to one hundred (100) and, further, if this does not work you can do the following => (2) you can once again place your cursor over the speaker icon located on the "lower task bar" and this time "RIGHT" click onto that icon. You will then see the following located just above that icon in "drop down" format => (a) Open volume mixer, (b) Open sound settings, (c) Speaker setup (Stereo), (d)Sounds, and (e) Trouble shoot sound problems. I have never had the need to make any audio or volume adjustments by "right" clicking onto that speaker icon so I won't attempt to go into further discussion or instruction in this particular area of diagnostic as I am not that tech savvy with this area; however, I did go on YouTube.com and I entered the following search term => "How to fix sound or audio problems on Windows 10?" and there were "several" Online tutorial options which populated which one could view. Whenever I view "any" YouTube.com tutorial (i.e., when necessary to do so!) I will keep the cursor positioned over the PAUSE icon of the video and repeat parts of the video as often as is necessary while taking hand written notes as I go along. Learning experiences which "may" seem extremely overwhelming when taken step-by-step can become "digestible"--intellectually speaking! I've also sent you along some "screenshots" below Best Buy customer Edward which depict the "aftermath" of left & right clicking onto that speaker icon located on the lower task bar. I think that it's great that Best Buy allows "space" for all of this detail to be entered as it "may" serve to help a significant amount of people. Here are the steps which I have been using to download Mozilla Firefox => (1) To download Mozilla Firefox on Windows 10: Enter Mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/products into the URL address bar => click “download Firefox" => scroll down & click “Firefox for desktop” => on next page click “download Firefox” => click “save” when it asks “What do you want to do with Firefox installation?” => After “security scan” is complete, click “Run” after it says Firefox.installer.exe has finished downloading => see “now installing.” You will find Best Buy customer Mommie0616 that upon successful completion of the Mozilla Firefox download that a separate icon will appear on your desktop saver screen for Mozilla Firefox. It would be to your advantage, in my opinion, if you would "right click" on that icon and then "PIN" it to your Windows 10 OS (a.k.a.., operating system) START menu and your lower Task Bar for easy and quick future access. Being that you posted your question some five (5) weeks ago, I am sure that you must have "already" found a solution; however, you might want to do a copy/paste of the above information for future reference and/or pass it along to those whom you may know and might have interest in same. Respectfully suggested, please make "EVERY" attempt to keep up with ALL of the update notifications--across the board (i.e., not just the Microsoft updates!). Mozilla Firefox asks the user of their browser to engage in updates quite frequently and they take but a few minutes to complete. Finally, please remember to only download software which you know to be from actual publishers of what you are downloading to avoid introducing a virus. However, I did a little research to "attempt" to find an answer to your question. Please keep in mind that prior to downloading "any" program to make sure the "source" is trustworthy so that no virus is introduced into your computer and also (i.e., prior to install of this or any program/download) identify any costs which may or may not be involved. The GOOGLE search term I used was => How to download Terraria on Windows 10. I came up with several entries; however, three (3) of them caught my attention and they are as follows => (1) How to install and play Terraria on Windows 10-YouTube, (2) Terraria Free Download for Windows 10, 7, 8/8.1 (64 bit/32 bit) QP..., and (3) Buy Terraria-Microsoft Store. I have sent you along two (2) photo "screenshots" below which populated after I clicked onto a couple of the aforementioned entries. Here are the following instructions which I have personally drafted and refer to when I am doing set up of any new laptop which I purchase from Best Buy => To download Apache OpenOffice 4.1.5 on Windows 10: Enter www.openoffice.org into the URL address bar => click “I want to download Apache OpenOffice” => select your operating system [i.e., Windows (EXE)] => select “English” => click “download full installation” => a “new” window will open & the download will begin => click “OPEN” => see “new” window that asks “Do you want to allow the following program to make changes…” => click “yes”=> the next window says “welcome” & click “next” => on the “choose install location” choose “desktop” => click “install” => see “preparing to install” => see “welcome to the installation wizard for OpenOffice 4.1.5” => click “next” => for customizer information page, enter “HP" (i.e., if that is the identifier you wish to enter!) for user name => Finish => see “Installation Wizard completed” => click “finish.” Please note Best Buy customer Jude that you "may" --or-- "may not" have to "minimize" the screen to see the progress of the final stages of the Apache OpenOffice 4.1.5 download. When all is complete, the Apache OpenOffice icon should have populated (i.e., become visible) on your laptop's desktop saver screen. First, I conducted a GOOGLE search for the word group => "how to play and burn Blu-ray discs on Windows 10 OS." In addition, I also engaged in a YouTube.com search for => "how to play and burn Blu-ray on Windows 10 free." I believe that the "key" word in the YouTube.com search is "play" as you "may not" be able to "burn" (or record) on a Blu-ray with the instructions offered if you tried to do it for "free". Someone who is more tech savvy than I am would be in a better position to address whether there is a "free" option or not! On the Best Buy website, I was able to find four (4) External Blu-ray Drives and I provided images and descriptions of three (3) of them below in the product recommendations section below. I have never used Blu-ray DVDs so I would encourage you to ask a knowledgeable Best Buy sales associate who is familiar with "external" Blu-ray drives about specific application; however, I did notice that one of the important factors regarding products' compatibility in connecting an external Blue-ray driver to a PC is the availability of 3.0 and/or 2.0 USB ports on your computer. Again, please review those search options on GOOGLE and YouTube.com as they might be of help to you. Oh, by the way, this HP 15.6" model 15-BS113DX has one (1) 2.0 USB port and two (2) 3.0 USB ports. The "simple" answer is "YES" to your question; however I would like to give you and others who may view my answer an option to install the appropriate computer software which would aid in the the viewing of DVD's and that software option is "free!" Here are the instructions on how to download it. Make certain that anything you download is from the "actual" owner or publisher of this free software so you don't introduce a virus or experience any unnecessary cost. It is commonly referred to as "VLC Media Player" or Video Lan. To download VLC media player on Windows 10: Do a GOOGLE search for “VLC Media Player” => scroll down & click onto “official download of VLC Media Player, the best Open Source player… => click on “download VLC” (in orange!) => below that select “Windows” => select your computer's operating system (a.k.a., “O.S.”) => click “save file” => once “complete” click on the box that says “open file vk-2.2.6-win32exe” => select “OK” for “English” (i.e., if that is your language of choice!) => click “next” on the “welcome” screen => click “next” on the license agreement => on the “choose components screen, leave “defaults” and click “next” => on the choose install location click “install” => on the “completing the VLC Media Player Setup… Wizard,” click “finish” => see “privacy & network access policy” screen [N.B. uncheck “allow metadata network access” box--if you choose to do so!] => click “continue.” I cannot say that these instructions which I am offering, herein, are "ALL" inclusive as it has been a little while since I installed VLC Media player and there may have been some changes; however, I tried my best to help you and others Best Buy customer Snowbird. Of course, if you go on YouTube.com and probably there are other Internet video search sources, you and others can view other guidance on this download and, in addition, you can sharpen your skills on the use of the VLC Media Player software. (i.e., ALL-IN-ONE) printer which is capable of copying, faxing, and scanning! You have already been told by others who provided answers to your question that "YES" you can connect this model HP laptop PC to a printer; however, I wanted to make additional comments. For some four (4) years now I've owned a Brother brand printer model MFC-J875DW. It is my understanding that it is no longer even being manufactured. It is low in "profile" (i.e., dimensions). The reason why I mention the Brother brand name is that their tech support cannot be beat--in my opinion. "LONG" after your initial purchase of a Brother printer (I even read somewhere that they provide "lifetime" tech support of their printers, but please check that out for yourself) they will be there to assist you with your Brother printer. In fact, when you phone in the calls are answered super quick and they give me all of the time that is necessary to solve any issues which I may be having. In fact, they even offer to send you a follow up E-mail with instructions which you can follow which can serve as a reference to solve any issue which you may be having. Your concern when you submitted this question now nearly three (3) months ago concerned connecting this HP laptop PC to a printer and my guess is that you have already made a choice of printer; however, I hope that my response will help others as well.

There are "FREE" options out there to accomplish tasks like typing documents, engaging in Excel-type functions, etc. The two which I am aware of are LibreOffice and Apache OpenOffice 4.1.5. I use the latter (i.e., Apache OpenOffice 4.1.5). More specifically, it is indicated on the Internet that Apache OpenOffice 4.1.5 contains a word processor (Writer), a spreadsheet (Calc), a presentation application (Impress), a drawing application (Draw), a formula editor (Math), and a database management application. I am really happy that I was able to see your question posted on this Best Buy website option regarding your concerns of being able to use this HP 15.6" laptop model # 15-BS113DX to play the "older" SIMS series of games. I "never" was a computer gaming person or fan so why would I even attempt to address your concerns? I conducted a GOOGLE search for a couple of word phrases which I though might generate some options for you to review and, perhaps, might provide a better understanding of this topic for you. Of the relatively brief review that I did engage in, it became quite obvious to me that this SIMS series of computer games is quite popular among those interested in computer gaming and this SIMS series has "evolved" in some big ways over the years! Here are a few of the GOOGLE search terms that I used => (1) "Can a Windows 10 OS Intel Core i3 8TH generation 8GB support SIMS Series of games?", (2) "What is required in a laptop to support SIMS Series of games?", and (3)" Difference in requirements between older SIMS series of gaming and SIMS 4?" Under this "last" search term (i.e., contained in #3), I found some entries that I thought might be of help and interest to you and they are => (a) "8 Big Differences Between The Sims 3 and The Sims 4", (b) "What Is the Difference Between the Sims Games? -- Make Use Of", (c) "Comparison between The Sims base games....", and (d) "Sims 2 vs Sims 4 - Page 2 — The Sims Forums." As others have "already" indicated in response to your question regarding the amount of USB ports which this HP 15.6" laptop model # 15-BS113DX has--there are a total of three (3) USB ports. However, the product specifications of this particular HP model indicate that this laptop has one (1) 2.0 USB port and two (2) 3.0 USB ports. This is important to know as the 3.0 USB port is supposed to be "quicker" and certain computer hardware requires a 3.0 USB connection while others (like some wireless mice) fare better with 2.0 USB ports I have found and have been told. I hope that my more detailed answer helps you and other Best Buy customers tim. Please see the Best Buy product recommendations below which depict a couple of different types of USB "hubs" which will increase your USB port availability. Please note that the 4-port hub on the top is a "2.0" USB hub, while the 4-port USB hub toward the bottom is a "3.0" USB hub.

Q: QuestionDoes the HP 15-bs113dx require using Office 365 to simply open word and Excel documents? I absolutely refuse to pay a yearly subscription to access and create documents that I only use 10 to 15 times a year.

- A:Answer Hello Best Buy customer Westconsindg! Years ago, I used to be able to purchase the Microsoft Office Home and Student activation key card which was a "non-subscription" key activation code which I could transfer from one computer to another--if the existing computer were to fail. It was a "one time" purchase--no subscription! Then, when that became too expensive, I would purchase only the WORD key activation non-subscription key code; however, that option also rose exponentially in price--cost wise. In answer to your question pertaining to identifying a less expensive alternative so that you could open Word and Excel documents I would suggest that you do what I did and will continue to do and that is download Apache OpenOffice 4.1.5. To accomplish this, please enter www.openoffice.org in your URL address bar and then click “I want to download Apache OpenOffice” => select your operating system [i.e., Windows (EXE)] => select “English” => click “download full installation” => a “new” window will open & the download will begin => click “OPEN” => see “new” window that asks “Do you want to allow the following program to make changes…” => click “yes”=> the next window says “welcome” & click “next” => on the “choose install location” choose “desktop” => click “install” => see “preparing to install” => see “welcome to the installation wizard for OpenOffice 4.1.5” => click “next” => for customizer information page, enter “HP(?)” for user name if you want and if using this model HP laptop => Finish => see “Installation Wizard completed” => click “finish.” Prior to engaging in the above download process, you might want to go on YouTube.com and view videos pertaining to "how to download Apache OpenOffice 4.1.5. These instructions are just for Windows 10 users and may not be all inclusive. Please be certain that any download process you engage in is actually from the authentic Apache OpenOffice source as you don't want to introduce a computer related virus. There are other "FREE" options out there such as LibreOffice Stable 5.0.0 which will enable you to engage in Word and Excel type activities; however, I have had great experiences with Apache OpenOffice.
