QuestionWhen the resolution is set to 1440p ultrawide via HDMI, the maximum refresh rate I get is 60. If I try to set it higher, the resolution is set to 1080p wide. I thought HDMI 2.0 was supposed to support 1440p 144hz. Could I buy a newer HDMI cable to fix it?

- Answer Replacing your HDMI cable with a higher-quality one, one that supports HDMI 2.0 or higher, could resolve the issue of being limited to 60Hz refresh rate at 1440p ultrawide. While HDMI 2.0 is capable of supporting 1440p at 144Hz, the maximum achievable refresh rate for ultrawide 1440p (3440x1440) may be limited to around 100Hz due to the increased pixel count. - Answer While the displayport standard can be formatted into usb c form factor, this monitor does not have a usb c input, but rather a displayport 1.4 input as pictured below.

- Answer Yes, however on HDMI you will only be able to go up to 100hz, and at a locked 16:9 aspect ratio giving a large vertical bar on the left and right. I would suggest not pairing this console with any ultrawide unless you use a PC as a primary device with occasional Xbox use.

QuestionED340CU vs XZ342CU What is the difference between these models? I can't figure it out the specs seem almost exactly the same aside from one display port extra. What else is different? Same price currently.

- Answer The XZ342CU is actually VESA certified for HDR400, which you can check on VESA's site. The ED340CU does not have an HDR certification despite having HDR listed as a feature. I can personally attest that the ED340CU's HDR does not work as intended.
