• A:Answer Hello Good Day! Yes! The UPS alarm can be muted. To Enable or disable the audible alarms press and hold the Mute button for 2 seconds. The Mute icon will illuminate and the Back-UPS will beep one time. If the line through the speaker icon is illuminated, the audible alarm has been turned off. The Mute function will not activate unless the Back-UPS is operating on battery power. • A:Answer As soon as power is lost, the APC switches automatically to battery without anything plugged it ever losing power Application can be set to close all apps and file and shutdown in a few minutes When power is restored, you need to manually turn on computer. UPS switches back to using house power instead of battery
