- Answer Theoretically you could clone a PATA drive. But make sure you have a USB port on the machine. And keep in mind that you are cloning to a SATA drive and if your machine does not support SATA it will not work in that machine.

- Answer The packaging explicitly states that it is designed for 2.5" drives not 3.5. It will fit 3.5" sata drives, but this use may cause damage to the drive or cable if the drive attempts to pull too much power over usb. I linked an item designed to support 3.5" drives. If you are in a rush, get from the store. If you have time to wait for shipping, price check the same cable on amazon and new egg. You will probably find it or an equivalent for 1/2 to 1/4 the cost.

QuestionDoes the backup software clone the Dual Partitions? Can the software resize the partitions during cloning or set the size or leave the remaining space for the second partition?

- Answer Yes - I cloned an existing 256 gig hard drive with two partitions onto new 1tb hard drive - Both partitions were cloned over with main partition receiving most of space, and secondary partition receiving space allocated on original hard drive. Both functional.

- Answer If you have less than 500 Gigs of storage on the 1TB HD you'll have no issues transferring it. It doesn't compress files...or at least I don't believe it will, unless the files are already compressed.

- Answer They have a Website that You can Download it , Might ask for information from inside package. I Do not have a CD installed, I downloaded it and put shortcut on screen - Or let someone read Disc, Copy file to a Flash Drive, You take Flash and plug into your computer and copy it to your HD , Before installing anything
