Q: QuestionI live in Arizona and the specs on this system mention a top end temperature range of 122 degrees. Would these cameras make it outdoors in Arizona's heat, or would they struggle to maintain their integrity and battery life??

• A:Answer I do not recommend this system for you with that kind of heat, as they do have heat sensors in them, and as you mentioned that may shorten battery life. This system is very cheap and works sporadically anyway, I do NOT recommend it. I got ripped off in spite of the cameras, they hacked into the system and erased all their photos. A nanny cam at best, with NO sound. A big pile of junk that cost me 10k in product, and seed stock for next yr.

Q: QuestionHow do I shut the system down when I am not using it ?Hello, I recently purchased the wireless Arlo system. So when I'm finished using my camera system, I'd like to shut it down. So if I turn off the button on the base, does that mean the cameras are off as well? I just want to make sure my battery's are not being used at that time. Please correct me if I'm shutting the system down incorrectly.

• A:Answer Hi Cheryl, simply log into the arlo website or use the arlo app on your phone. go to the camera you want to turn of and click on the settings button on the top right. there you can turn off the camera without having to turn off the base station.

Q: QuestionCan these be plugged in?I notice several mentions of batteries for these, how long batteries last etc.. But curious to know if plugging them in is possible? If so do they come with a cord to do so?

• A:Answer I have 3 cameras, and they can't be plugged in. They run entirely on batteries. Also, they recommend not using rechargeable batteries, so you will need to buy new batteries when it comes time to replace. The user manual states that the cameras will work for about 4 months with normal use on optimal settings.

Q: QuestionDoes a wireless extender help when the camera is further than the 300'?I would like to watch the horses in the barn occasionally. But the barn is quite a distance from the house/wireless router. If an extender works, how far will the connection work? Also, is there a Feature that allows you to not watch when you choose and not text with every movement? The idea is to just check on the horses sometimes, but not a constant live feed.

• A:Answer You can customize it however you want. Just don't set it up to record when there is motion. You can log in and go live when you want. I'm not sure about the wireless extender. It should work though if the connection is strong enough.
