- Answer You will have to upgrade to a higher Internet Mbps. I have 15 Mbps and I can run 2-3 devices and then it slows down.

- Answer Trust me. Read my review. Your connection would get unstable every 2 or 3 days anyway. Mine gets unstable every 2 or 3 days also. Can't get anything to connect until I unplug and reset the modem. I don't have a 2nd router, it is just the way this thing is. No good. Sorry.

- Answer Century Link (in the area where I live) only provides DSL service which operates over a telephone line. This product is a cable modem so it operates thru a coax cable so this would not work with century link DSL service. You would need to look for a DSL modem/router

- Answer As long as optimum is using cable for there internet services this device should work. You may want to check to see if they use docsis 3.0 as well.
