A:Answer This modem is a cable modem and as such, has one input (coaxial cable) and one WAN (Ethernet) jack. If you want WiFi, yes you will need to purchase a wireless router and connect the WAN port from the modem to the WAN port on the router. You will need to configure the router with SSID and passphrase. Disable WPS (It's not secure). If all of your connections are going to be Ethernet (wired) and you have more than one, then I'd look into buying a small switch or hub. Much depends on what you intend on doing. For apartment or small homes and WiFi applications, you may want to look into a "gateway" (combination of modem and WiFi router). Lots of options.
