A:Answer YES & NO...Read carefully....Yes, technically it will work with the Comcast telephone package however there's one caveat. You cannot utilize the "telephone" feature that is part of the package from Comcast as this modem does not have voice capability built-in. I too, have had the voice pkg but never used the "voice" service. I've owned one of these modems for 14mos. Will be replacing it this weekend. Do your homework! Class-action is searchable on the internet.
As info, if there is no RJ11-type jack (usually two) on the back of the modem, they are generally not capable of voice service. RJ11 is the traditional phone jack, not to be confused with the standard ethernet jacks (RJ45) found on modems too.
