Q: QuestionAfter installing the board, the Q-code goes to code 55 - no memory installed. I have installed DDR5 memory in a single and multiple slots. It still gives to code 55. Also, the display won't come up. Can you help with this?

• A:Answer I have exactly the same problem and have also tried different memory configs (2x32GB 6400, 1x32GB, 2x16 5400, 1x16 5400, etc.). Research shows the error 55 problem has plagued ASUS motherboards for years. Very disappointed and will exchange for something else.

• A:Answer The 4090 works with this motherboard but you lose access to the 2nd pcie slot because the card is so big and because the card is so big you have to check if it will even fit inside a case. I use the Lian Li dynamic xl it has room for everything it’s a massive case and mine has 10x120mm fans and room left over for a full liquid cooling loop for a cpu.

• A:Answer I cannot find any reason why you cannot set up an SLI configuration providing you can get the drivers to recognize the cards in SLI, though I cannot find that there will be any benefits to an SLI configuration since ASUS does not list any support for SLI and NVIDIA does not support SLI so I cannot see any benefits to justify the additional expense, I would not do it unless you have that kind of money to throw away and it makes you feel better, save your money for the 5090 series that should be available around November.
