- Answer Hi there, A subscription is not required for the Blink video doorbell. A subscription is only required if you wish to use cloud storage for the video files. The other storage option would be to use a Sync Module 2 along with your doorbell, and plug a USB flash drive into the Sync Module 2. This method will allow you to save clips locally to that USB and view them from your phone.

- Answer I had my maintenance guy at my complex put it up for me. He mounted to the wall on the side of the door. A neighbour of mine has hers mounted to the door itself, she said she used the 3M tape.

- Answer No but it puts itself into "event response" meaning that it only records motion or records when the button is pressed. This is because the doorbell at idle when just on battery isnt constantly connected to the internet for battery saving puropses. Features like live view is disabled untill you get a sync module and or wire it in.

- Answer Hi there, When the doorbell is answered by one user, then no other users will be able to view it from their phone at the same time. Since it is a live view, only one user can live view a single camera at once.

- Answer Hello, The Blink Video Doorbell does not require a sync module and can manage its own system, but when installed with a connected Sync Module, Doorbell battery life is improved and advanced features are available.

- Answer I've had the ring doorbell first generation and 3rd generation they work great but the thing I didn't like about Ring doorbell is the time it took to retrigger another motion alert I purchase the blink doorbell and loved it much better than ring doorbell the retrigger time for a motion is only like 10 seconds for the blink doorbell I would definitely recommend blink doorbell over the ring doorbell before you purchase the blink doorbell you may need to buy they're sync modular for the blink camera system I've already had one so I'm not for sure if the doorbell works without one also if you have any blink security cameras they also have an accessory flood light that works great with the outdoor cameras

- Answer Yes, you can choose to have motion detection on and or just doorbell. They both work great. Motion detection is so good on it that it captured a video of my neighbors cat running by chasing a squirrel lol

- Answer It only records for me when movement activates it and the more you record and use it or the more sensitive the motion detection the faster you’ll burn thru batteries. Also, when you try to set it to ignore an area, it still picks it up and as a results goes off constantly! It literally picks up cars 1/2 a block away faster than it does someone actually up on my porch!!

- Answer Hi there, When someone walks in front of the doorbell or the button is pressed, you will receive a notification you can tap on. If you tap on the notification you will be brought to a live view of the camera in the doorbell.

- Answer Hello, The Blink Video Doorbell can be connected to powered wiring from a mechanical or digital chime with a transformer rated from 16-24 volts AC, at 50-60Hz (the North American standard). If you choose to use the Doorbell wire-free, the default chime sound will play on the Doorbell whenever the button is pressed. The same sound will notify you on your mobile device.

- Answer Hi there, You can have a system with 2 doorbells! You can set them up in their respective locations and re-name them in the Blink app. You will then be told which doorbell was pressed in the Blink app.

- Answer Yeah, but it’s gonna take an act of Congress to get it to pull up. By then whatever triggered the motion event will be long gone. Horribly slow system, even with top notch Wi-Fi.

- Answer Hi there, The doorbell can function on its own with no sync module. The sync module will help it communicate with the Blink servers and keep it up to date. However, if you set it up without a sync module with just batteries it will end up in Event Response mode.
