Q: QuestionWill this work for my husband’s CPAP machine
Asked by Kat.
- A:Answer Using a CPAP machine or any other device with an electric motor is not recommended with battery back-ups of any type, or with a power strip. The reason is that both of these devices contain resistive elements that can cause the CPAP or any other electrical motor-powered device to overheat.

Q: QuestionWill this be enough to do proper pellet stove shut down, takes about 15 minutes...?
Asked by Alex.
- A:Answer You don't provide sufficient info to have any idea. You need to calculate the current draw during shutdown. As an example, if the stove draws 5 amps at 110v, it's consuming 550 watts. Based on this backup battery rating, assuming only the stove is attached, you have about 10 minutes of power.

Q: QuestionWhat is the Voltage Protection Rating (VPR) or Suppressed Voltage Rating (SVR) for this model? What is the response time for this model? Is this product have a UL 1449 certification? Thanks.
Asked by candlerman.
- A:Answer The response time for this unit is less than 6 milliseconds, and as it is a UPS it is designed to meet UL 1778 ( UL1449 is strictly for surge protectors). The exact VPR is not a number that is available, but the unit has 1030 Joules of surge protection, and meets compliance with UL 1778's standards. Thank you for your questions!

Q: QuestionI have a shed in the woods and hope to use this for blowing up air mattresses, run a TV, and things like that. Am I looking at the right product?
Asked by Wayne.
- A:Answer Not really…It’s not meant to be a portable power source… It’s meant to prevent damage and loss of data during brown outs or quick power outages. You’re talking about one of these portable inverter devices with a large battery in it.

Q: QuestionI plan on being able to use this for video production which will sometimes require being on generator power, does this unit have a built in power conditioner so it may operate on a generator without draining the battery?
Asked by Andy.
- A:Answer Hello Andy, Unless the unit does not have a power conditioner for use with a generator. Unless the generator is an inverter generator, we would not recommend this unit for use with a generator. Q: QuestionCould I use this on a 3/4hp garage door opener or would that be too much of a draw?
Asked by Musicman7885.
- A:Answer Not a good idea. Any electric motor has a huge inrush current which this device is not designed to handle. Also AC motors need a pure sine wave and I don't know if the DC to AC converter on this unit will provide that. There are uninterruptible power supplies available for that application and you would be better off using one of those.
