- Answer Not recommended. Most battery backup units will not run a standard motor fan due to the higher AMP draw of the fan motor. The fan will run at lower speed, but ultimately will damage both the fan motor and the backup unit. It would be best to run a USB fan. Some USB fans now are large enough to cool a small room.

- Answer I believe the second cord you are referring to is the USB control cable. If you connect this to your computer, you can then install the software to allow the backup system to communicate with your computer. "The UPS communicates its status to the PowerPanel® Personal Edition software."

- Answer I have a 2W LED on UPS power for desktop lighting during outages, Everything continued running normally, including the LED light,Ki during test mode. I would not recommend very high-wattage power sinks of any sort on the battery backup outlets.

QuestionWhat is the beeper for. This morning the beeper or alarm was going off constantly until I pushed the power button in to turn it off. This morning when I turn the power back on it would beep and go off then about a couple of minutes later it beeps again.

Larger the device or power requirement the less likely this will work. I would consider a larger UPS if you were connecting large devices to it. currently have an amazon echo, a google assistant and an air purifier connected to mines,

- Answer I would not recommend this as a "battery" to use to charge other devices. It does store power but it is both kind of heavy and has a built in alarm that sounds when it is turned on and the power is being drained. The main application for this device is to plug in critical electronic devices or equipment that you would want to stay running in the event you lose electricity.
