- Answer Hello, after researching the Axiim, I found that the Denon AVR-S970H is likely incompatible with it. The Axiim seems to be compatible only with 2019 LG OLED or NanoCell TVs, as well as with the Xbox One, PC, or Mac. I recommend reaching out to Axiim for verification.

- Answer Hello. The AVR-S970H does not connect wirelessly with Sonos product. For the best sonic results, we recommend use of our Wireless HEOS speakers for sound in rooms other than the Main Zone. Operation of the AVR-S970H via your mobile device would be the work of the HEOS app or/and the Denon AV app, both of which are available through your app store of choice. The Sonos app does not operate Denon AV receivers.

- Answer Hello, and thank you for your inquiry. Many different speakers will pair well with the Denon AVR-S970H receiver. When choosing speakers, consider the room size and configuration (in-ceiling, in-wall, bookshelf, or floor-standing). We have found that speaker brands such as Polk Audio, Definitive Technology, and Bowers & Wilkins all pair wonderfully with Denon receivers.

- Answer Hello. As with all modern AVR's, the AVR-S970 has a line-up (non-powered) subwoofer feed. This is because most modern subwoofers are highly variable in their power requirements and subsequently have their own amplifier built-in. Therefore, the wattage rating you seek is found in the specifications of the powered subwoofer. If you have a passive subwoofer (typically for in-wall use for those looking to save space), we recommend speaking with the manufacturer of that subwoofer about which optional power amplifier would be suitable to drive it.

Questiondoes the Denon avr-s970h support the rocket fish wireless speaker kit ? we have hooked it up in zone 2, but we do not get any sound out of the speakers as we did with our old denon system help these are our outdoor speakers and summer is here !

- Answer Hello. The first thing to do is check in the menu of the AVR-S970H to make sure Zone 2 speakers have been assigned: Settings > Manual Set-up > Speaker Layout > Amp Assign > 5.1ch + Zone 2 If you have selected Zone 2 and then selected your playback source with content playing (it's a good idea to try more than one source when trouble-shooting), you should have sound. If you do not have sound at this point, I suggest trouble-shooting the wireless speaker kit. You may need to speak with Best Buy about how to trouble-shoot the Rocketfish kit you have.

- Answer There is a Phono input via RCA jacks and an additional 4 assignable RCA Audio In jacks. However, there are no Audio Out jacks on this receiver, so you could connect your CD players and reel to reel for playback but not for recording. There are 2 HDMI monitor connectors for connecting your TV and there are 6 assignable HDMI input connectors. You could connect your DISH Network box to one of those, assuming you have HDMI out from your box. If not, it could be connected to one of the Audio In.

QuestionI have 5 speakers connected to the receiver. I get no sound out of it when the receiver is on. What setting do I have to do? I use the tv regular speaker to watch show but sometimes I like to use receiver to watch good movies but no sound.

- Answer Your HDMI cable ethernet should be in your ARC port on tv. In your tv settings select that input. Hope this helps

- Answer It does have WiFi built in but you don’t have to use it. It will allow you to use the denon app and the HEOS app to stream your Spotify or other supported music apps directly to the receiver.

- Answer I have a Bose Acoustimass 16 system and a Denon Receiver and it works fine. Please not that as far as I understand it the Bose unit controls all the frequency mixing to the speakers so you may need to contact Bose for help in setting the crossover point in then Denon unit

- Answer Hello. Bose 901's with an equalizer require a receiver with either a tape loop, or 'Pre-in/Main Out' jumper ports. Unfortunately, such connectivity options have long since disappeared from AV receivers owing to the lack of demand. The used market offers plenty of options, but I can think of nothing current from any brand which supports the use of Bose 901's with an equalizer. Bose 901's also require something with quite a beefed-up amplifier to get the best out of them.

- Answer I don't know how you could. There are 4 assignable Audio In connections, but no Audio In connections to route the equalized signal back to the receiver. The receiver does have built-in equalizer functions, though.

- Answer 7 channels plus a powered sub can be driven. If you want to drive 2 speakers in second zone with the onboard amp, you'll only be able to drive 5 plus sub inside. You could drive 7 plus sub inside and pass preamp signal to a separate amp for 2 outside speakers or you could get a 9 channel amp. The cheapest solution that allows shared source across 2 zones is to get this 7 channel amp for inside and get a second 5 channel HEOS compatible amp for outside (cheaper than 9 channel amp).
