Q: QuestionCan this be used on a high pile rug? I have an area rug in my bedroom which can only be vacuumed by one of my two current, dying vacuums. The other vacuum gets stuck on it because the pile is too thick for its carpet setting.

This reduces air leaks and retains more suction power at the cleaner head. Dyson cleaner heads have been designed to maintain optimal contact with flooring to help ensure the best performance across both hard floors and carpet. As a result, while we don't expect problems to occur and experiences can vary from home to home, some high pile carpets may fill in the cleaner head resulting in an airtight seal. The Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal has no filters to maintain and uses our latest cyclone technology while the Dyson Ball has 2 filters that need to be continuously maintained once every 3 months. The Cinetic series has 180 air watts of suction while the Dyson Ball has 270. With the new cyclone technology on the Cinetic and no filter to maintain, it doesn't require the stronger suction. Q: QuestionI have this vacuum. Just got it. It will NOT vacuum my bedroom carpet. It is very high and thick. What do I do? My son in law tried to use it in there, he had to use both arms and struggle to push/pull. (he is 6'2' and 200#) Very upsetting. HELP!

Q: QuestionDoes the vacuum have a heat sensor? After vacuuming for a while, it shut down, would not turn back on. I left it plugged in and in like 10 minutes it started up all by it self? Crazy

• A:Answer Yes it indeed does. I would suggest making sure the filters are clean, and depending how high your carpet piling is, taking short breaks. The sensor is a thermal overload switch. It is outstanding Dyson cares for it's consumers and equipment.

• A:Answer This vacuum far surpasses any Shark brand vacuum. It will suck up the hair. It may blow a little around as the exhaust and HEPA filter is built into the ball. You can also use the brushroll on hard floors as long as you make sure there is nothing stuck in it that would scratch your floor. The Shark mine as well be a kids toy compared to this beast!
