Q: QuestionIf ET-15000 is an office unit---to be used for personal/business documents to be kept for many years--how long should the print text remain readable if printed on quality multi-function paper and kept out of the light? Please be specific on estimates.

• A:Answer I found several 13 X 19 format printers. The ET-15000 fit my needs best of all of them for features, functions, prices. I don't need fine photo reproduction. I am a leather craftsman. I need to need to print patterns of large leather parts that are accurate to size, have clear, precise lines, and etc.

Q: QuestionRegarding print longevity on the ET-15000 as posted earlier, what type paper (for documents) should one use to obtain good results? Also, what is the range of how many "decades" that the print on the documents (stored in the dark) is expected to last?

• A:Answer I use 13 X 19 80# white card stock for my patterns. I don't know how long the print last. All of my patterns are designed and stored on online so they can be reprinted any time.

Q: QuestionFor important documents (not photographs) such as financial records printed on plain paper with the Epson ET-15000 and stored in a file cabinet, desk, etc., out of light how long will they keep without fading badly where they couldn't be read easily?

• A:Answer Hi MrPrinter, Print longevity depends on factors beyond the actual ink. The paper used for printing, storage location, heat, humidity, etc. can all come into play. Q: QuestionDoes the EcoTank ET5000 do automatic double sided scan and copy from the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) without having to manually flip the page over? Thank you.

Q: QuestionWhy does Epson sale many different sublimation printers but void the warranty if you put sub ink in it? Does Epson have EPSON BRAND sub inks for 8550, 4800, 7720, or 7710?

• A:Answer Hello Grown. There are specific Epson models designed with different components to be used with sublimation inks. Using sublimation inks in a printer designed to use other inks can cause hardware and print quality issues. Unfortunately, Epson does not make dye-sublimation inks for the models mentioned. Q: QuestionIt says that the ET-15000 will take paper up to 13x19, but it only scans 8.5x14. That means there will be a large border of blank, unprinted space around each image - is that correct? Meaning it will not be possible to print to the edges of 13x19 paper?

• A:Answer Hi kitkat, The EcoTank ET-15000 can copy a sheet of 8.5" x 14" paper at 100% size to the same size sheet of paper. It can also print a 13" x 19" photo or document that has been sent from a computer, smart phone or tablet. The largest size sheet the ET-15000 can print without borders is 11" x 17".
