If you enable it on the printer's front panel you can connect several devices directly like the printer is its own hotspot. Go to the Home screen on your ET-2850 and use the arrow keys to select Wi-Fi. Then use the arrow keys to select Wi-Fi-Direct and press the OK button twice. Download the free Epson Smart Panel app to scan a QR code and connect to the printer. Full instructions are available in the user's guide on the Epson support site for the ET-2850.
