QuestionI'm split between this Eufy Smart Lock and Schlage Encode for a rental property. Which ones do you recommend ? I know Schlage Encode integrates with apps like iGMS, but is Eufy still better ?

- Answer Absolutely do NOT buy the Schlage. I have 2 rental properties and my house and Schlage has a high failure rate during cold and or rainy days. I can't get into my own house at the moment and I am shopping to replace my schlage. :-/ right now.

- Answer Yes you can use just the Eufy app to achieve scheduled Locking & Unlocking everyday of the week. no third party assistant needed.

- Answer Jmann, You can add up to 100 Users per lock. it also has the ability to set scramble PassCodes if the lock is located in a region with neighbors passing frequently.

QuestionWhat's the difference between the wifi being built in and the wifi bridge?

- Answer Lonb4u, The only difference with the Wi-Fi built-in vs bridge is that there is one less outlet to take up in the house and it aslo lessens the setup process. This might not be a deal breaker in either case as it will work well nonetheless.

QuestionDoes the auto lock activate when the door is open or only when the door is closed?

- Answer The Eufy lock senses the door and detects when it is closed or open. I have tested its smarts and it only Auto Lock when the door is closed. it will not activate when the door is ajar but be sure to Calibrate the Lock after you have engaged this feature.

- Answer No, there is no key code on the box. My understanding is that you cannot even purchase a key -- but, when you think about it, even if you have multiple locks, the chances of actually using a key vs. fingerprint or keypad are slim to none, in my opinion.
