Questiondoes this icemaker keep the ice frozen after it is made or does it melt away in a non conditioned department.

- Answer It is not a refrigerated compartment, it melts. It does make a lot of ice so it builds up quickly, I don't recommend this machine.

- Answer Hi Robert- Yes, 15" Ice Maker UCC15NJII is Panel Ready - Designed for personalization with customer-supplied cabinet-compatible panel and custom handle. The ice machine is supplied without a conventional door covering, allowing the attachment of a stainless steel door panel or a custom panel. Finished stainless steel door panels with handles are available from GE Appliances. A custom panel of wood or other material not exceeding 15 lbs can also be used. - Answer YES. I HAVE 3 OF THOSE ICEMAKERS PURCHASED IN EARLY 2009 WITH A MANUFACTURED DATE OF 2008. THAT 2016 RESPONSE IS NOT ACCURATE.
