A:AnswerHello, thank you for your question. The water line for this refrigerator does not need to be installed if you do not want to use your ice maker. If you choose to do this, we recommend you disconnect power to the ice maker and ensure that it is shut off. We hope this helps! Please feel free to reach out with any further questions or concerns. -Chris@GEA
A:AnswerHi there, Buddyno5 - Great question! We're finding that this refrigerator is not garage ready. We do not recommend installing this refrigerator where the temperature will go below 55 degrees F or above 110 degrees F. We hope that this helps. Thanks so much for checking! -Mikayla
A:AnswerHi Suzy - Thanks for choosing GE Model GIE18GSNRSS! Your food should not freeze in the refrigerator compartment when set on 5. In fact, at any setting, food in the refrigerator should not freeze. It is designed to maintain a refrigerator temperature which is generally 37F. The temperature control adjustments are based on food load, door openings, room temperature, etc. We suggest viewing a video at the following link: https://youtu.be/Fk8X4jsGNfg - We hope this is helpful.
