A:AnswerHi Nancy - We have great news. The washer is equipped with a Bleach Dispenser. The bleach is diluted properly before being added to the wash load during the fill cycle, so it's safe as well as easy. Liquid chlorine bleach should be added through the bleach dispenser in the front left corner. Follow bleach manufacturer’s recommendations for the correct amount of liquid chlorine bleach based on load size. A:AnswerHi Stumped - We are happy to provide assistance with your GE washer. Press "Pause" to pause the spin cycle to adjust the load. Pressing Pause will unlock the lid (if locked at that time), pause the cycle and the Pause indicator light will blink. To continue the cycle, press Start again. Note: Machine will automatically cancel and drain when water is present and the lid is left
open for 15 minutes or the unit is left in a paused state for 24 hours with the lid closed. A:AnswerHi Joyce - Thanks for choosing GE! We are happy to provide assistance. Any time the washer is being started or restarts after the washer lid has been opened and closed, the washer will turn on the cold water valve for two short periods followed by a 10 second pause before continuing. If the lid is opened during this period, the washer will pause. You will have to push the Start button again to restart the cycle. See page 4 of the Owner's Manual at the following link: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-90576-3.pdf - Also, the washer will not start the cycle or fill with when Precise Fill is selected if the lid is opened. When the lid is closed the machine is able to begin filling with water in order to sense the load size. See page 14 of the Owner's Manual- Automatic Load Sensing. We hope this is helpful. A:AnswerHi Larryj - Thanks for reaching out to us regarding your GE washer. You can customize your water-fill levels with just the touch of a button. Add a little extra or fill the tub to wash the way you want using the Deep Fill option. Add a little more water: Press the Deep Fill button once before starting the cycle to add 3 gallons of water to the wash load. Once the washer has stopped filling, you can press it again to add 3 more gallons. Full Tub Fill: Press and hold Deep Fill button for 3 seconds to fill the washer to the maximum water level. It will fill to approximately 26 gallons. The lid must be down when using the Deep Fill option. The dual action agitator provides powerful reversing wash action to rotates/drives clothes/items down into the water for a thorough clean. Also, when using fabric softener choose the Deep Rinse option to ensure clothes are rinsed free of detergent, fabric softener and stubborn soils

A:AnswerYes, it is normal to make that sound. If your load is a super size load or you select an extra rinse and spin cycle then the sound will be much more pronounced!
A:AnswerGenerally speaking, 4 cubic feet is enough to wash 12-16 pounds of laundry. A larger capacity unit at 4.5 cubic feet can hold up to 20 pounds of laundry. A general rule of thumb is a queen size comforter can fit into 3.5 cubic feet and a king size comforter fit into a 3.8 cubic feet machine.

A:AnswerHi Abigold7footer- Yes! Detergent packets (pods) should be added to the bottom of the wash basket before adding clothes. Check out "Getting started" on page 5 of the Owner's Manual: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-90576-2.PDF - Thanks for choosing GE. Enjoy! Sue
A:AnswerHi alpinetim - Yes! The washer is equipped with an automatic fabric softener dispenser. DEEP RINSE option ensures clothes are rinsed free of detergent, fabric softener and stubborn soils. Play Video: https://www.youtube.com/embed/fbkVOdkZJ5E?rel=0 - Enjoy! Sue
A:AnswerIt is a HE washer, by default it will not "fill" with water, it will only put enough water in to do the load and save resources. It has a "deep fill" button that if you press it will fill the washer all the way with water, like older models used to. My instruction manual detailed how to do this, if you didn't get one from the seller you could look on GE website and try to download one maybe.
A:AnswerHi Jeanie - Yes, Delicates cycle utilizes a unique “tri-pulse” extra gentle agitate profile and a low spin speed to provide special care to delicate fabrics. Keep in touch! Sue
A:AnswerHi Mothergoose- Some models have a "Colors" temperature selection rather than "Warm." The "Colors" temperature is approximately 75°. Using a cooler temperature will help reduce fading, wrinkling, and wear. Keep in touch! Sue
A:AnswerHi Shark - Thanks for reaching out to us. Check the Options dial. The washer will fill with water if Deep Rinse is selected when using the Drain & Spin cycle. Turn the Options dial to Off. Also, if the washer detects an out-of-balance load when attempting spin during a Drain & Spin cycle, it is normal for the washer to add water to the tub (wet distribution) to rebalance the load.
