A:AnswerHello I cannot answer your question about the amps however if the fan speed is simply low medium or high it should not make a big difference when it comes to electricity as it is the compressor is the one drawing the most
A:AnswerHey there, thanks for reaching out to us! The dehumidifier will turn the compressor and fan on and off as it reaches the set humidity level and rises again. We hope that's the information you needed and we're wishing you the best. - Guy@GEA
A:AnswerHi - While the humidity control can be set as low as 35%, we recommend starting at 45%. After a day or so, if you feel the space is still damp, then set it lower to 35 or 40%. We truly hope this helps with the issue you're experiencing. All our best! Vikki@GEA
A:AnswerHello there - Great question! Dehumidifiers have a drain connection which can be connected to a standard garden hose. This allows collected water to continuously drain to a floor drain. The unit drains by gravity, so the hose needs to be laying flat on the ground and should be cut to the shortest length possible. To use: Remove the bucket from the front of the unit. Open the drain cover on the back of the unit. Thread a standard garden hose onto the drain nozzle. Cut the hose to length and lead it to the floor drain. We hope that this helps! -Mikayla@GEA
A:AnswerHello - We appreciate your interest in this dehumidifier and we are happy to help! This unit draws 7.2 amps. The model ADHB50LZ is Energy Star qualified. Thanks for checking. Olga@GEA
A:AnswerThe tank fills fast. I hooked up hose to drain continuous. I am gone days at at time. Tank fills in less than 24 hrs. No way I would consider using the tank.
You are correct. The rating can be misleading. They could claim 50 pints per year assuming the user empties tank every 3 months. But in the lab they don't use the tank.
A:AnswerHello,
Thanks for asking! We appreciate the interest and we'd be more than happy to assist you. We found that these two dehumidifiers are not the same. The main difference between between them is that APER50LZ has a built-in pump whereas the other model (ADHB50LZ) does not. We hope this helps!

A:AnswerMine did that...it was a real pain in the butt. it seems to unsnap off its "hinges" so you have to get it to snap back into those and then it will just close. Hope that helps. it really takes some pulling and almost feels like you are going to break something
A:AnswerThis is a relative question, of course. However, if it is in a basement with the door closed to the upstairs, you will not hear it operate upstairs. If you live downstairs you will certainly hear it but the noise will eventually fade from your awareness. (Until it shuts off and restarts later!)
