It should since it is designed to sense any movement. You can adjust the sensitivity, but I found with it turned up all the way, it only detects movement up to about 25 feet.

This motion sensor is designed to be used with C by GE bulbs when paired to the app and can be setup to detect motion in the app. There are sensitivity settings that can be setup as well but not a particular distance.
