A:AnswerThanks for reaching out about this! The dimensions of this ice maker are 16-1/2" x 13-43/100" x 17-1/2" (HxWxD). Assuming you have enough clearance for 16-1/2", it will fit. We hope this helps! -Chris@GEA

A:AnswerI reached out to GE Appliances about this and below is the answer I received on 1/21/22:
“Thank you for reaching out to GE Appliances! Our Opal Ice Makers are designed by some of the 900 engineers based in the U.S. at our headquarters in Louisville, Ky. and sourced globally from a variety of partners GE Appliances evaluates the safety of materials and chemicals used in GE brand appliances through our hazardous substances management process. We have voluntarily decided to identify, reduce and eliminate to the extent possible materials of concern from our appliance products and parts, even when not required by regulation. We do not comment specifically on product content, which is confidential, however our processes help ensure that all GE Appliance products meet applicable hazardous substances requirements and our own product safety and environmental standards. We hope this helps! - Eboney@GEA”
A:AnswerMachine stops making ice when full and will not start again until you open and close the drawer. Kind of stupid that it doesn’t start making it again once it melts down. So theoretically if you left it alone for two days it would be completely empty.
A:AnswerRun the Cleaning cycle again, and again until you have run the water out a few times, and make sure none of the tubes are messed up in the back. I am thinking vacuum issue.
A:AnswerYes and no. You have to make a bleach solution to run through the machine to clean it once you drain it. You will run at least 3x batches of clean water through to rinse. These 4x cycles all run at the touch of a button but you have to add the solution and allow it to soak for hours before running the clean water cycles.
A:AnswerSome models include the side tank. The model I purchased did include a side tank. However, the Opal 2.0 has water supplied from the area directly below the ice bin. You will fill this reservoir directly with distilled water. The optional side tank is worth having in my opinion.
