A:AnswerMachine stops making ice when full and will not start again until you open and close the drawer. Kind of stupid that it doesn’t start making it again once it melts down. So theoretically if you left it alone for two days it would be completely empty.
A:AnswerRun the Cleaning cycle again, and again until you have run the water out a few times, and make sure none of the tubes are messed up in the back. I am thinking vacuum issue.
A:AnswerYes and no. You have to make a bleach solution to run through the machine to clean it once you drain it. You will run at least 3x batches of clean water through to rinse. These 4x cycles all run at the touch of a button but you have to add the solution and allow it to soak for hours before running the clean water cycles.
A:AnswerSome models include the side tank. The model I purchased did include a side tank. However, the Opal 2.0 has water supplied from the area directly below the ice bin. You will fill this reservoir directly with distilled water. The optional side tank is worth having in my opinion.
A:AnswerThe Opal 2.0 comes with a small screen filter. I do recommend buying the larger filter for better taste and much better filtering for better-tasting ice.

A:AnswerThe quality if the ice, the crunch and the way the ice interacts with beverages makes all the difference. The inconvenience of having to add water is overshadowed by the quality of the cubed ice. I no longer use the built in ice machine.
A:AnswerI had an older model (opal) and that happened to me. Make sure the area where the air going into the unit is clear and not dusty or blocked by objects. Might have to just send it in for repair.
