- Answer Hi Howard, thanks for your question! You can change the display temperatures from Fahrenheit to Celsius on the Honeywell Home Smart Color Thermostat with Wi-Fi by pressing Settings > Preferences > Advanced Preferences. Then press Next until you get to "Temperature Indication Scale" and choose Fahrenheit or Celsius. You can press Done and Previous Menu to get back to the Home screen of the thermostat. QuestionI am replacing a Honeywell MPLS.MN with RTH958WF. I was told I need a C wire. The exist thermostat has Yellow, White, Red, and Green wires connected to Y, W, R, and G terminals. There is a blue wire but it's not connect to anything. Use that as C?

- Answer I've got a couple of units and both of my C wires are blue. That's pretty common, I think. Also, from what I understand, some installers don't hook up the C wire if it's not necessary. That would make me think that's a C wire, but I'm a DIY'er.

QuestionIf power out for 8 hours and we are out of town---will thermostat reconnect with WIFI automatically and resume schedule. Without batteries concerns me - how long does INTERNAL THEMOSTAT BACKUP in terms of hours? 4? 8? 12? 24?

- Answer Hi RickOhio! If your thermostat is disconnected from the Internet when you are not home, unfortunately, there is no way to tell why the thermostat lost connection, only that the connection was lost. If the cause is a power outage or something similar, the thermostat is designed to automatically reconnect to Wi-Fi once the power is restored. -John

- Answer Hi Todd, This Smart Color WiFi thermostat does have the auto changeover feature. It is not enabled form factory but you can certainly enable it so it will switch between heat and cool automatically depending on the set point and inside temperature. - Maria

QuestionWhen I set the T-stat at 76, the AC will shut off at 74, This happens to what ever temp I set it at, that is a 2 degree difference ? what is making it do this ?

- Answer Hi RALPH12! The Honeywell Smart Color Thermostat has the ability to adjust the indoor temperature that is displayed. It sounds like you may have this set up on your thermostat which would explain the 2 degree temperature difference you are seeing on your thermostat. To adjust this, Touch SETTINGS on the thermostat. The thermostat will display a list of options. Select Preferences, then Advanced Preferences. The thermostat will display the first screen of options that you can change. You will want to go to Indoor Display Offsets. When you have made all changes, press Done to save and exit. - Answer Hi Dave! The notifications you can receive in regards to the Honeywell Smart Color Thermostat with Wi-Fi are sent via email and do not go through a 3rd party or cost any money. It is a feature you can utilize once your device is registered to the My Total Connect Comfort website. I hope this helps!

QuestionA question about fan control. Does this have an interval fan option ( say 10 min run every 30 minutes?) other than just on and auto? I need more fan runtime to stir house air on several floors, my current totaline Tstat allows this. Thanks

- Answer Checking my app. There is a fan setting - On, Auto, Circulate. On - fan is always on, Auto - fan is on when heating or cooling is on, Circulate - fan runs randomly about 35% of the time. That's what the app says. I have not tried it so I can't verify it works as described. BTW, I recommend this product . It easily interacts with Alexa which is why I bought it and the iPhone app is easy to use.

QuestionOne review I saw during my search said if the internet connection is lost or the unit freezes and it continuously calls for heat (if it's on heat mode) and that the only way to reboot is remove the unit from the base. Is this true? Does the unit freeze?

- Answer Since they're not labeled at the thermostat terminal, you'll need to check at your furnace to see what's connected where. Having the extra wire is great, since you should be able to use that for your common.

QuestionIf the thermostat goes offline due to a power outage and the internet is down, when the internet and power come back on again, will the thermostat restart on its own or do I have to be physically at home to restart the thermostat?
