- Answer Because this computer is running Windows in "S Mode" it can only download and run apps that are in the Windows Store. Unfortunately, TurboTax isn't one of the available apps.

- Answer Thank you for the question. Yes, the 15-dy2703dx laptop has two RAM slots, each occupied by 4GB sticks. You can upgrade with the same type of RAM:: memory module type DIMM, memory type DDR4, memory speed 3200 MHz.

QuestionWhat is S mode and how does it affect functionality of the laptop?

- Answer Windows 11 in S mode is a version of Windows 11 that's streamlined for security and performance while providing a familiar Windows experience. To increase security, it allows only apps from Microsoft Store and requires Microsoft Edge for safe browsing. You can switch the laptop out of S mode and into Windows 11 Home for free in the settings. You can find the option to switch under the account settings page in windows settings.

- Answer You can disable S mode in the windows settings for free. If you go to the Windows Update section of the settings you should see the option to switch out of S mode.

- Answer Thank you for the question. This laptop is presented with Windows 11 Home in S Mode, which supports apps available in the Microsoft Store. But you can take the system out of S Mode simply, for free (not reversible) if you'd prefer more flexibility with choice of browser and download origins.

QuestionI just bought this computer for a friend in another state. He said it already has MS Word, Excel, PowerPoinrt, etc., on it, without installing the 15-month subscription for Microsoft 365 I purchased. How is this possible?

- Answer It comes with a one-month trial of MS 365 installed, so that's probably what your friend is currently using. At the end of that trial, he can use the subscription you bought to continue using it.

- Answer Thank you for the question. The HP 15-dy2703dx includes a power cord/adapter and comes with a 30-day trial of Microsoft 365 and McAfee LiveSafe. HP software to assist in enjoyment and productivity such as Audio Switch, HP Smart, and System Utility are also included. No accessories are included, however, many are available, including travel adapters, cases, headsets and pens/styli.

- Answer Yes. Typically it's because of buyer's remorse (either over the price, or realizing that a computer isn't a good fit for what they want to do). Best Buy checks to make sure the computer is working as it should, and restores it to the original factory condition.
