QuestionI bought this a couple of weeks ago and used it roughly 4 days, during the middle of the day. This morning I noticed it had leaked all over the floor. I had only been using it on the cool setting. Should this be happening or do I have a defective unit?

QuestionWhen I got up this morning the air conditioner was flashing FL on the front and it won't let me turn it off. I unplugged it and then replugged it but it still has the same FL on the front and still won't let me turn it off.

- Answer The FL code means the water collection tank is full and needs to be drain. You can fin the drain plug on the back side for the AC and towards the bottom.

QuestionThe fan occasionally turns on and shuts back off before the room temp has hit the set temp that the AC should turn back on. Is this normal? Using the follow me function, cool, fan set to low. When room temp hits set temp, the full ac turns on.

QuestionHas anyone been successful with installing this in a tall horizontal sliding window? My window slides open only 4 inches and is about 56 inches tall. Also can it be placed up against the wall between the bed like this spot here? It's my only option

- Answer Do not use an extension cord. If your air conditioner is too far from the power outlet, move your air conditioner or have an electrician install a plug closer to your air conditioner.

QuestionWarranty question: My Insignia portable AC made a loud noise and then after that I noticed that it no longer blows cold air. I take the exhaust hose off to make sure nothing is blocking in and when I do internal pieces fall out of the back. Is it covered?

- Answer The manufacturer usually covers up to 1 year on workmanship..but when comes to electronics ALWAYS get at least a 1 year warranty.

- Answer I had the same issue until I realized I needed to press the reset button on the plug before it will turn on the first time. Hope that's your issue.
