• A:Answer it's a regular aa battery. you could probably use a rechargeable one, but you'd have to remove / charge it separately & and reinsert it into the keyboard

The easiest way to remove it is to gently tap the keyboard so the battery slides forward, or use a fingertip or non‑metallic tool to lift it from the exposed edge.
