• A:Answer Your TV must have a "F" type coax connector. If not, you need an adaptor. All most all TV's produced within last 15 years or so have "F" connectors.

• A:Answer Yes! I am surprised you have not purchased a newer Television that has a built in digital tuner. But if you are using an outdated Analog to Digital Converter box. This Insignia Model NS-ANT715 antenna still performs very well. The reception range is 40 to 50 miles. Best placed near window. The term HD means High Definition or 720 pixel resolution. This antenna will work rather well with any TV. My old 2009 amplified antenna only picked up 24 channels whereas with the Insignia I now receive 42 channels.
