- Answer Some TVs only have red & white connectors for INBOUND audio. In this case, use the little cable that ends in a single 3.5mm plug to connect to the audio out port.

QuestionI can get the headphones to work but can’t figure out to switch from using headphones to listening to the tv normally. The only way I can do it is to pull the audio cord out of the tv audio port

- Answer I had the same problem, the TV speakers were disabled when I plugged something into the headphone jack. I solved it by buying an optical audio cable. (My TV has optical audio output) Now I can listen to TV speakers or headphones or both. Obviously, this solution will only work if you TV has optical audio output.

- Answer If you get a buzzing sound from the headphones, it means that something nearby is causing interference. Unfortunately, the are a lot of things that may cause interference. A radio, phone, streaming stick, or even a microwave oven can cause interference. Whatever is causing the interference is close to either the base unit or the headset, so the only thing I can recommend is the old fashioned trial and error. If you can, try moving the base to a different spot, even if its just the other side of the TV. If the base unit is near a clock radio, try moving that.

Please make sure that all of the cables are connected correctly and that the cables are not connected to the AV input jacks on your TV, or the AV Output jacks of the docking station. - Answer I have mine hooked directly to the back of the TV. I had Greek Squad do the instillation, so l would say the best connection is to the TV directly. Hope this helps.

- Answer The battery can't be changed. Contact Insignia, and they will work with you to get a replacement headset. Alternatively, you can probably buy the headset off of something like eBay, just make sure that the model number is an EXACT match.

- Answer We had a similar problem when using the optical cable from our TV. These headsets do not support all digital audio standards which causes the clicking/static noise. I changed the audio output settings on the TV (in the audio menu) to a more basic digital audio setting and it started working perfectly.

QuestionI just bought these as a Christmas gift. I got them to work but for some reason the volume is increasing and decreasing on its own. It fades in and out but never fully out. The headset is about 10 ft away from the receiver. What am I doing wrong ?

- Answer When you purchase the cable, it comes with little tiny caps over the ends of the cable. You must remove them to be able to insert the cable.

- Answer The welcome feature of this unit is that it will accept both "old" and "new" from your TV. Now there is some chance that your TV was never meant to send the sound anywhere else. But most allowed for external speakers. That is all you need. Take a good look at the back of the TV and look for something like "audio out" or "external speakers". If it looks like a little donut about 3/8 of an inch across, that is called an "RCA jack". You should find the connecting cables needed included with this unit.
