- Answer Two of these speakers, yes. In the Google Home app, after you've setup the two speakers (and/or any Google Home/Home Mini devices), you can then create a Group of the speakers that you wish to include. I presently have a group called "House Party" that has one of these, a Google Home and a Google Home Mini in it (annoying that I can't include my Chromecast (non-Audio) such that I could include my Home Theater system/speakers)

- Answer If you have a chromecast audio (aux cable) hooked to it, but it will not play audio as a bluetooth out to another speaker.

- Answer I don't believe that the Insignia gets the same updates as Google Home and Mini. I bought the Insignia NS-CSPGASP2 and a Google Home and Mini around Thanksgiving 2017. The google speakers have had a couple of updates - one is to allow it to run routines - still waiting on insignia. This feature is very nice. One command can perform many steps. "Wake up" - Speaker will give you time/temp/weather/trip time to work/road conditions/calendar events and more. Nice feature. Not on Insignia yet. I also cannot call from my Insignia. The Insignia is good.. but I would rather have the updates at the same time google issues them.. There doesn't seem to be a way to find out when Insignia updates occur. I wouldn't buy another.

QuestionIs there a way to get the temperature to display permanently without having to ask the Google Assistant? It seems to only display briefly for a couple of seconds then goes away after asking Google Assistant for weather conditions.

- Answer There is no way to make the temperature display permanently. Perhaps a future firmware update will add this feature.

QuestionThis morning it shows the temp (as well as the time), and temp won't go off (didn't ask for temp / it just appeared this morning). Have reinstalled twice. Just want clock (like it was before). Google Home says firmware is 318.

- Answer It has to be a firmware update. When I first bought mine a couple years ago it showed it every now and then. I tried to figure out why not all the time. Gave up on that and accepted it with just clock display. Then like a week or so ago the temp came on again and is staying on. I like it.

Questionbought for black friday, everything else is great but it won’t let me set an alarm? the command is understood and it even tells me that my alarm has been set. however immediately after, it says to try again later. i’ve reset the thing 10+ times. help!

- Answer I know this may be weird, but have you tried setting the alarm to 1 minute before or after the time you want? For some really random and odd reason, if I try to set my alarm to 7:00, 7am, etc, I have issues, HOWEVER, if I set the alarm to 7:01, or 7:01am no problem. This is a problem I had with a Google Home Mini as well, btw.

QuestionThe speaker won't let me set it up. It tries to connect on Google Home app, but always says it "couldnt authenticate" I've tried everything and I think I need to return it.

- Answer I just set up my device yesterday (11/27/2018). I have a Samsung J7 V 2018 phone. I tried many times and could not get my device to authenticate either. I tried using my old Motorola E 2nd generation instead and I was able to go through the set up process without any problems.

- Answer So far, the sole answer to this question, by "uncleted", does not seem to work - saying "OK, Google, display temperature." results in the device acknowledging the command, but doing nothing on the speaker. Instead, it toggles the temperature display on my Chromecast's screensaver on. Saying "OK, Google, display temperature on [Speaker_Name]" results in it responding that the speaker cannot display video, and that only Chromecasts and Google Cast enabled TVs can perform that function. Will update if I find a working solution.

- Answer Once you download Google home and connect your device to your phone the time will set up automatically. To set the alarm you say Hey Google set me an alarm for 8 o'clock Monday through Friday and she will do it. It is not a clock you can set like an alarm clock. Just tell google it does it for you.

QuestionCan anyone speak to the WiFi reach on this? I want to put it in the bedroom on the far side of the house and am wondering how good the receiver would be on this. It is maybe 40 feet away from my router through a wall.

- Answer Often times there are two WiFi services provided from your router. 2.4 - the stronger (and slower one) and 5 - the fast but smaller usable area one. I would try the 2.4 if available. Mine goes 60+ feet through lots of walls and floors

- Answer There is a free app that can do this. Download "NextRadio" from the Google Play store, set it up, bluetooth your phone to the Insignia, and voila. A couple of my local radio stations will only play thru headphones or earbuds, as they are OTA only. But nearly all of them stream, which you can then hear thru the Insignia. Easy and fun. FM stations only, of course.

- Answer It should work but google has only done an English version so far so it will be useless if who ever uses it doesn't know how to speak to it in English. All you need is a goggle account and then you set it up to your preferred device.

QuestionSorry if this has been asked/answered... If I buy a Bluetooth transmitter or USB dongle and plug it into my TV will I be able to use this Insignia device as an external speaker for my TV? If yes, how do I make them talk? Thanks!

- Answer Yes, you can connect an external Bluetooth transmitter to your tv (or anything else) and the Insignia speakers will receive the bt broadcast. Connect the transmitter to the tv via the audio out (headset jack, optical output, etc.), and then just place both the transmitter and the speaker in bt pairing mode and they will connect by themself in a few seconds. I have one by MEElectronics that will even transmit to two devices simultaneously via bt which can send sound to two speakers out on the deck to listen to the game while BBQ-ing and guests watch the tv in the house. Note: All Bluetooth transmitter protocols have an inherent ~200ms latency/delay so the tv video will be slightly out of sync with the speaker audio. This isn't so noticeable for me on the deck, but is noticeable if I place the speakers near the tv - especially if the tv speaker is playing at the same time.

- Answer Hi Eanick24, Thanks for sharing with us your experience using the Smart Speaker, I hope you enjoy the speaker. For turning on or off the microphone, you would have to short press the microphone button for 1 second. Pressing this button a longer time, it will make the speaker turn off.
