A:Answersince your hdd is unpowered you need to plug this in to the powered usb port (the one with the lightning bolt). If you have done that and it still does not work then I don't have a solution for you. Thus, I hope that it does work!
A:AnswerI am using it on a Mac 27" (late 2015) and it works great. I am currently using 6 of the 7 ports and leaving the powered port open in case I need it for a device that needs power. I have 2 drives, keyboard, wacom tablet, headphone and chip reader plugged into it. I don't notice any lag on i/o to/from the drives.
