A:AnswerThis amp can put out 350w rms at 4 ohms and 600w rms at 2ohms. So it depends. If you got two 12s at 300w rms each at 2ohms you should be fine. Whatever you end up getting just be easy when adjusting do it in small increments an you should be fine.
A:AnswerI’m not really sure. You might just be adjusting it wrong. I had one 10inch kicker sub hooked up to it an it sounded great never had an issue with it.

You could start by removing all the wires at the back of the unit and turning it on. If the protect mode is gone, there may be a shorted wire or a speaker with very low resistance.
