QuestionI have a question about the Marantz cinema 50, will this amp running (very) hot as the older models do from Marantz? kind regards Rob.

- Answer Mine runs somewhat hot but no much different than than the Pioneer I had previously. It needs forced cooling because it’s in my entertainment cabinet. I placed an AC infinity cooling plate on top.

- Answer Hello - yes, the Cinema 50 is well equipped to drive KEF- Q Series 6.5" 2.5-Way Floor standing Speakers , Q Series 6.5" 2-Way Bookshelf speakers, Q Series 6.5" 2.5-Way Center-Channel Speaker and KEF - Kube 12" 300W Subwoofer. Proceed with confidence. 14 gauge speaker wire is recommended for any speaker runs of less than 15'. Beyond 15', 12 gauge is recommended.

QuestionIf I setup front R&L speakers to preamp out (to use a separate amp) will that allow the system amps to apply more power to remaining channels since little power is now used to drive front speaker pair?

- Answer Hello, While it won't allow for greater overall power delivery to any given channels, it does take some of the strain off the circuitry, allowing the Cinema 50 to run more efficiently than it might when also powering the R&L speakers.

QuestionDoes this support 7.2.4 Configuration ? On the back of the AVR I see LCR + 2 Surrounds + 2 Rear Surrounds + 4 Height Channels with a total of 11 Channels. I wonder why is it advertised as a 9 channel AVR.

- Answer Hello, the Marantz Cinema 50 has 9 channels of amplification and 11.4 channels of processing. The 11 speaker terminals provide flexibility with different speaker layouts available today, like Atmos or Auro-3D. Pre-outputs are also available for connecting external amplification, allowing you to connect 11 speakers—9 to the receiver and an additional 2 using the pre-output allowing for a 7.4.4 Atmos speaker setup.

- Answer Hi Ivan, The Cinema 50 has pre-outs for external amplification of 11 channels, plus 4 sub-woofer pre-outs, and in addition a Zone 2 pre-out.

- Answer Check out Audiohaulics reviews on the 50 I believe. The pre amp outs are amongst the best every recorded independent of brand.

- Answer Hello, there are many excellent speakers to choose from that will pair nicely with the Marantz Cinema 50. A Karaoke machine may be connected to the Cinema 50; connect as you would any other source.

- Answer I have a Cinema 50 and without using an amp for my fronts, it would be almost hot enough where I couldn’t hold my hand on it (I like my volume loud, so I was pushing it). My speakers are 88 impedance and I bought a separate two channel amp for the fronts and it now runs warm, nothing near before. So to me yes, it runs A LOT cooler.

- Answer Hello, using HDMI control, the Cinema 50 and most receivers will receive commands from the connected Television for power and volume. The provided remote control is not a learning remote. Once set, settings in the receiver will not change automatically. One must go into the receiver's settings to make any additional changes. An app may also control the receiver.
