A:Answer I also have the Xfinity triple play plan. As soon as I picked up the modem at Best Buy I went straight to the Xfinity store/center to have them add the modem to my account. It took them a little while but one of them new exactly how to properly enter it. Then I went home, connected the modem, and did the set up online on my cellphone. I completed the setup using the password on the modem, once the modem lights showed connection, and I successfully connected a device to the wifi, I then changed my password, it all work out pretty well. But to be honest at first I bought a diffrent type of modem and I had to replace it with this one due to a number code that had issues in the Comcast system, also maybe the comast rep wasn't properly entering your modem info. I remember the guy couldn't do it the first try, till someone else told him how to properly enter it. I suggest take it to the Comcast store, so they have it physically at hand to see if they can successfully add to your account, if not get a replacement. I guess first try to figure out the reason why is not working.
