- Answer You literally take it out of the box, plug the A/C adapter into the switch and then the other end into the A/C outlet. From there, plug Ethernet cable from your source (Router/cable modem) into one of the ports, and then your other components into the other four ports. You should be set up and good to go. It is THAT easy!

- Answer No, this is not WiFi. Basically you plug in a network wire (Ethernet) from your modem, and this device splits (or multiplies it) to have more outputs. For a non tech person, think of it as a power strip for internet.

- Answer You will have to run a long Ethernet cable from the router to this device. While WiFi can theoretically give faster speeds, a direct connection through Ethernet does not suffer interference like WiFi does, so in effect, you could have a better ping response on gaming/etc.

- Answer Practically nothing. #gs605na looks shinier and can be mounted to a wall. I purchased #gs605na to connect a few wired devices in my office and it works perfectly.

- Answer I have two of these devices in use: one in a stand-alone network and one connected to my wireless router. The router connection automatically crossed over using a straight-through cable.
