A:AnswerIt probably not the router, it’s your ISP. Remember, when everyone comes home at night, that when usage increases, therefore, more people on, more lag times!
A:AnswerYes. You have the option of using the router's name or create a name for your extender wifi. It has to been done through a web browser though. I didn't want it to use the router's name coz it will connect whoever uses it so i renamed it to control traffic.
A:AnswerYes this product works great. The only hiccup I had was I had to use the iphone mobile app to set it up. For some reason the manual set up instructions did not work with the router. The app worked flawlessly though. Also try to rename the extender access point at set up. I did not do that so I had to repeat the entire set up process again. By default the range extender uses your existing wifi SSID. I simply added EXT to the end.
A:AnswerI am pretty sure i followed directions but this piece of crap did not extend or boost my WIFI signal ....maybe i got a bad apple but according to Geek squad
you actually have to spend approx. $200 for one that works good.....my problem is why do they sell substandard equipment if you know it will not perform the basic claims that the manufacture and store bestow upon it
