I have Century Link and this has been working great. I have used this modem for about a month now. It also costs a lot less than buying a modem from Century Link!

          Answer

The ADSL2+ Modem connects to the internet through your phone line, because the phone line is how the DSL internet connection is made. You connect the computer to the modem's network connections (wired or wireless) and then connect a phone line from the modem to the phone outlet on the wall. You may have to contact your Internet Service Provider so they can register the new modem on your line, if this is a replacement modem on an existing internet service.
