QuestionCan the Nighthawk AX6000 Wifi Extender be used as a primary router in place of a cable provider's router rather than just as an extender?

- Answer I would NOT run a setup that way. The EAX80 does have a GUI to sign in setup like a router but it has the aim to be an extender to your current setup. The day i stopped letting my ISP control my router, all my issues with connection and speeds went away. I have a few steps I own that I love. I have the MK62 and I also have the RAX 200 with the EAX80. I wouldn't change either one of these setups for anything. Technology standard is changing to WiFi6 or AX. So many ISP providers run slow and outdated tech because of the huge cost factor to upgrade.( That is my personal opinion.) Please don't confuse having AX tech as meaning your internet will be faster. HOWEVER, is will make your network run smoother with less drops, coverage areas, and overall performance.

QuestionHow can I hook up this router to my Apple time capsule? I don't have a modem because I'm being feed by fiber and I don't want to buy a seperate modem.

- Answer You can put this into AP mode. You still connect to the”internet port” but you connect to the network. I am not failure with the Apple time capsule but you must have cat 5 connections (RT45) that are inside the network. This will not build a mess with the time capsule.

- Answer Does you ATT modem also have WiFi built in? Your question leads me to think that yes it does and it is a modem/router all in one. IF your ATT equipment is a combo unit you can run a new router by disabling the router and letting your new router do the work. If you want to keep your current setup then you can at an extender to that to help improve. However, if your current setup IS a modem and router all-in-one, you might be having issues because their equipment might only support up to Wireless N on 2.4 band and that will lead to issues on WiFi. I hope that will help and make sense

- Answer Get it, it’s capable and worth it. I have Linksys 8 port switch on each node and also use wireless on all of them. In my home I have 24 devices running sometimes more because of the WiFi and 4K TV’s and one OLED hardwired and they run smooth with no hiccups. I highly recommend the eeros.

- Answer Yes, all ethernet ports are gigabit, which is necessary to take advantage of higher internet bandwidth. I suggest turning OFF quality of service (QOS) since there is already plenty of bandwidth for all devices.

QuestionCan I use my WRT1900AC as a bridge or extender with the RAX80? If so, will I lose the improved features if my device connects with the wrt1900ac instead of the rax80?

- Answer If you setup the WRT1900AC in access point mode and hard wire the routers together, it should work. You will lose the special features of the WRT1900AC, but the RAX80 features should replace them.

- Answer Unfortunately, I don't think so. I haven't seen it as an option. Perhaps it may if it's done via firmware and doesn't require any new chipsets.
