A:AnswerNo not an extender but an Orbi satellite to extend your mesh network. It’s a AC2200 system but I use it with my AC3000 system. I bought it for my bedroom and I use CATe 5 cable instead of Wi-Fi for my computer. It’s four times faster than Wi-Fi and I listen to music at the same time. I love it.

Yes this will work i bought them Orbi ac2200 system with the same router and use the speaker as an additional satellite. Sound is pretty good but have to reset it every so often cause Alexa won’t work properly, after the reset it works normal.
A:AnswerIt is not clear to me either the difference. I bought one to extend an existing Orbi network when it was just $99, but at $199 for just an extension node I would look at a complete system from another vendor at that price and separate Alexa devices.
A:AnswerIt is an extender.. so when you associate it with your main wifi system.. you can basically put it anywhere your house. Speaker is pretty sealed.
