  • Q: What are the Pros & cons between the ACULON A211 8x42 and the ACULON A30 10x25?  (2 Answers)

    By tideman

    • Best answerThese are both excellent choices for binoculars and do have some differences due to their style and measurements. If you plan to use binoculars in a low light situation the Nikon Aculon A211 might be a better choice, as it has a larger objective size that will allow more light into the interior. However, the Nikon Aculon A30 is more compact and ideal for long walks and hikes. Still, both of these binoculars provide the same quality of resolution as they both have the same glass elements and either one would make a great addition to your gear bag. To learn more about the differences between these two binoculars please contact Nikon Support.

  • Q: Are these binoculars suitable for concerts ? Please advise, thanks.  (5 Answers)

    By Miriam

    • AYes. I took them to the ballet and was able to see the details on the costumes of the dancers from the back row. They weigh only about 7 ounces without the case. I carried them in a small crossbody bag.

    • AYou would need to purchase the tripod adapter. It does not appear that BestBuy sells this. But it is readily available through other sources. Then, you would need a tripod.

  • Q: CAN these be used to view the eclipsed?  (4 Answers)

    By Anonymous

    • ANO. ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED to ever look at any of the suns or moons changes such as an eclipse through any binoculars or telescope to try to bring images up close for fear of possible vision damage is what I read in any reviews or product comparisons I looked at.

  • Q: Are these waterproof and fog proof? Do they have aspherical lenses?  (3 Answers)

    By Mshull

    • ADuring my comparison shopping before buying my grandsons binoculars as his Christmas gift, I finally settled on these NIKON Aculon A-30 10x25. I remember seeing on the NIKON chart of the different binoculars they sell that these are not waterproof and fog proof ONLY water resistant. Not sure about the lenses being aspherical or not. The salesman at BEST BUY is who showed me this NIKON content information chart on the store computer. It was very helpful and there is also a toll-free phone number where NIKON customer service personnel are readily available to answer any questions. I did call them for some other questions I had and they answered the phone quickly and were very helpful. I suggest you do the same. They are very easy to reach and willing to help future as well as previously established customers.
