- Answer it holds up to 12 accessories but i dont belive phillips hue offers keyless entry yet they do have it to turn lights on as you get home though

- Answer Only Philips I guess.. Every brand has their own Hub.. Expect from some brand which does not require one.

- Answer If you get the Bluetooth one you can control the lights through you phone, using the app HueBT. The hub will be necessary if you want it to be control it also with Google assistance or alexa.
QuestionIf we just need the outdoor motion light which will be mounted above the garage door do we still need the bridge? What would be it's function? It will be near a camera connected to Wifi.
- Answer from what we gather, the bridge allows you to control the different function of the led lights. It gets hooked to you modem, we have it plugged in to the wifi extender, and can use the cell phone to control the lights

- Answer it should be I don't know what gen play bars I have but I do have older hubs and newer bars behind the tv

- Answer No this is wrong. It is more complicated than that. You need the Hue Play Sync box and that only works for devices connected to it via HDMI.

QuestionMy router is far from my room. But I want the Hub in my room. Do I have to plug it into my router? Can I set the whole thing up via wifi without plugin it into the router via cable?
- Answer No, you need it to be connected to the router.. There is no need for this to be in your room. This doesn't control anything. It just connects the Hue Lights to the wifi connection so you can control everything. It's literally a bridge from the internet to the smart lights. What you should have in your room is an Alexa, or google home, home pod etc.
QuestionI just have to ask, because I'm "that guy". Since the product specifications, above, don't state that the Hue Bridge will work with Hue products, I'm assuming that they will work and the website programmer made a typing omisson?
- Answer Haha well said. "Work with Hue" is a subjective statement. They are made to work together though the union is not always harmonious. Lol simply put, yes it was more than likely just an omission.

QuestionI hookup the hub to my comcast router I get the 3 lights but the center light is not active and the hub app can not find the bridge.
- Answer I had the same thing happen to me. On the bulb you should see a serial number. Go into the hue app, add lights. Instead of searching for it, click the "manually add" button and type the serial number of the bulb. That should fix the issue

- Answer I wouldn't advise using other products aside from Philips brand switches and dimmers.
