it works great with both. I have it linked via Alexa of Echo dot and work fine.

And works great even with Philly weather overnight being 17 degrees. Grandkids love coming over making me crazy by changing other lights color from Google home in other parts of the house. Wait for sales from Best buy. No knowledge how it works with Alexa. What I can say is Alexa had a 2 year start on this technology over Google home. Talking to friends who have Alexa. Google Home is in the lead.
