    • Answer When new I did get the stated seven hours of use. Now after a couple of years of daily use, it has diminished to between 4 - 5 hours between charges. That is just normal wear and to be expected.

    • Answer Yes, there are audio prompts when the battery is getting low. It will tell you "Low Battery" when the battery gets low. If you ignore the warning, it will repeat the warning every so often until it says "Recharge Now". That is your warning that your battery is critically low and will shut down in about 5 min.

    • Answer Did you ever get your pairing question answered? If not, try this. Make sure the blue tooth icon is selected from the pull down menu. Sometimes, tho, you just have to pair it again. Go into settings in your phone. Open connections option you'll see BlueTooth. The slide button should be on. If it is, then open BlueTooth by selecting it, which puts it into discovery mode. On the face of your Plantronics 500, turn it on and press the face of it until the blue light on it starts flashing blue and red. It should show up on your phone so you can select it. You should hear in your BlueTooth that pairing is successful. You can then close everything and enjoy your product

The Explorer 505 is compatible with any device that supports Bluetooth headsets; However, please note Bluetooth technology works through different profiles and these are the ones the earpiece requires to work correctly: Hands-Free Profile (HFP) 1.6 and Headset Profile (HSP) 1.and A2DP. This model is mainly intended for cell phones and tablets. For a Mac we recommend you to check out our UC line of products as these are designed for optimal PC/Mac connectivity.     • Answer I believe so. If the cell number and name of the contact are on your contact list on your cellphone paired to your E505, press the large round button on the device, when your hear the electronic tone, say "call" the name of the contact as it is listed on your contact list, and the call should go through. Hope this helps.
