  • QuestionMy electric door bell does not work, so can I just bypass it and just wire into the doorbell and camera and just plug in my chime

    • Answer If it doesn’t work now then I suggest getting the battery powered unit. It uses the same wires as the doorbell so it’s not magically going to work.

    • Answer Wired version requires existing doorbell wiring to work. There are several outdoor wireless versions to choose from if that is what your application requires.

    • Answer Hello VonA, Good question! Quick Replies is a smart doorbell feature, similar to an answering machine for your door, available for select Ring video doorbells in the US and Canada. Quick Replies is not available for Video Doorbell (1st Gen) or Ring Video Doorbell 2 (discontinued). You can enable or disable Quick Replies at any time in the Ring app. Once the feature is activated and someone rings your doorbell, the visitor will hear a pre-selected message and can leave a reply, unless customized otherwise. There’s no subscription required for Quick Replies. However, only Ring Protect Plan subscribers will be able to access and review recordings of Quick Replies interactions in their Event History.
