- Answer Yes, it has the metal plate (speciically this model) on the tray. Not only it looks neat and beautiful - should help retaining the chill as the manufature suggests.

QuestionDoes the Black Stainless Steel Scratch easily?We don't have kids but do have little dogs that like to jump.... so need to know if the black stainless scratches easily prior to us purchasing this product. I will go with regular stainless if so.

- Answer Yes it is more fragile than regular stainless steel. They simply put some black coating over the stainless steel. It is almost like putting a coating over hard wood floors. We put a fridge magnet on the fridge and it left a scratch. So be careful.

- Answer Hi Daytona, Thanks for your interest. Samsung's Digital Inverter Compressor in the RF28JBEDBSG is designed to run both quietly and efficiently. The motor may be more audible when running at higher RPMs during high demand periods (such as when the doors are opened frequently), but when there's less traffic in the refrigerator and freezer, the compressor doesn't need to work as hard and runs quietly at lower RPMs. To help minimize noise, be sure it's leveled correctly so the doors can seal properly. - Ms. Samsung

QuestionThe right door is a few mm lower than left. Manual says insert a philips screwdriver in hinge shaft and turn counter-clockwise to adjust upwards, but when I insert philips screwdriver, it does not seem to mate w adjusting screw head. Any ideas?

- Answer We have the same problem with our new refrigerator. There is just a flat surface inside the hinge shaft. I read in the manual that fastener ( also called snap) rings could be inserted in the hinge, and that two should have been supplied with the unit- but we did not receive any.

QuestionHow tall can items be stored standing up in the refrigerator (1) in the right showcase door, (2) on the left side with the top shelf flipped up against the ice maker, and (3) on the right side with the half shelf slid backward?

- Answer In the door on the right bottom 12 1/2 inches to the next shelf above it and 13 inches if you remove the top small shelf. Quite a bit fits in the door. Left side top shelf flipped up to the shelf below 19 1/2 inches and the shelf that slides back is 14 1/2 inches. See photos below.

QuestionQuestion on the ice maker after reading the owner's manual at the Samsung website for this model: Will the ice maker quit making ice if the 'bin' is full? Owner's manual doesn't address this question except to Turn it off if the bin is full. Thanks!
