A:Answer In general, not specific to this model......I have had front loaders for 14 years now, no mold or odor at all. Main thing - leave the door as wide open as possible after each load. And I use powered soap vs. liquid, I have heard liquid laundry detergent has more inert ingredients that can cause odors because of the residue that breaks down, but maybe that has changed. Also don't use too much soap, I only use two Tbsp of powered soap for a LARGE load in my 5.0 cubic foot machine and my clothes are clean and come out smelling clean as well. Too much soap is hard on the washer anyway and inhibits the friction action that is supposed to clean your clothes during tumbling in the drum (excessive soap doesn't allow fabrics to scrub against each other, but instead glide over each other because suds are slippery, thus not 'scrubbing' the dirt off) - do research if you don't believe me.
