QuestionIm so confused about this since visit to anothr store i seen exact model but thir was 2 of them one was selling 60$ othr almost 90$ basicly both same on box same eact features .the only differ from plhoto of the til.p.. im useing note 8 released sept.

- Answer There are actually 3 models all at different prices but same charging rate. The cheapest lays flat, the middle price one is standing up, and the highest price one can be adjusted to everything from laying down to standing up. So 2 are static position, one is adjustable.

- Answer Go to Settings /Accessories /fast wireless charging. If you want fast charging the switch needs to be on. Hope this helps

- Answer Not really. This wireless charger will always need an outlet to be plugged into to work, so it's not a portable charger in that sense. However, the charger itself is physically portable and so long as you find an outlet, you're good to go. So you can take it to a coffee shop, for instance, but you will need to plug it into a wall outlet to charge your phone.

QuestionHow is this charger different than the older Samsung Model: 60-3692-05-XP?

- Answer The only differences are the size, conversion, connection and surface material. This charger is heavy and large but has the ability to convert from flat to standing and also has a leatherette surface that holds the glossy S8 and even the S7 so well an earthquake couldn't budge them. The charging speed is exactly the same as last years model and it comes with an identical AC adapter but this time it's powered by a USB type C cable just like the S8.

QuestionI've had this charger for 4 days and today it wont recognize my S9 at all. No lights. But when a light does come on it goes from blinking red, to blinking yellow/orange and then does nothing. I tried different outlets around my house and no change.

- Answer Sounds like a bad charger id return and get another one ordered and try to charge it inside the store when it arrives in front of a representative before taking it home.

QuestionI have my Galaxy S8+ in an Otterbox Defender case and it only charges when the phone/charger is flat. I can not figure out why, the case doesn't change the position on the base that much. Does anyone else have this problem?

- Answer It is the case - when you raise the charger vertical there isn't enough clearance at the bottom of the charger for the phone to sit properly and be propped up so the NFC chip in the back of the phone touches the charging base. I had similar problems with a thicker case (not as as thick as an Otterbox), but when I went with a much slimmer case - no more vertical charging problems

QuestionI just bought this and it won’t charge my phone in the upright position. It starts to charge then stops and says charging has paused. It’s going back today. I have the Samsung 9plus with an otter box. I’m not taking the case off each time I charge it.

- Answer Yes, I read up on it and knew I’d probably need a super-thin case to charge this in; I KNEW this but somehow did not realize the difficulties involved when purchasing an all-glass, curved screen phone (S-8+). So there’s NO POINT in buying a case that won’t protect this phone, but I kept the charger and use it as a back-up. Yes, taking an Otterbox off each time — forget it. I have come to love the phone but I own ONLY cases that will protect it and that means, put the case on. Place phone DOWN ON A FLAT SURFACE. IF THE GLASS SURFACE OF THE PHONE TOUCHES THE FLAT SURFACE— DO NOT BUY THAT CASE! Good luck :)

QuestionI understand it has 3 coils so it should be easier to align, right? If it pauses the charge will the blue light blink or turn of to let you know it's not charging? I read sum reviews saying they woke up 2 find the phone did not charge???

- Answer Mine turns off when done charging . If you have a case on the phone thats not compatible with wireless Charging or if you dont put it correctly it wont charge. It has to be centered if flat. If you are using the stand position. Then just make sure its on the stand correct. The light will let you know if its charging or not. Mine wont come on till i place my phone in the correct position.

QuestionI have an iPhone 8 Plus and installed iOS 11.2. I didn't notice any faster charging. Does feature need to be enabled? Also, my light stays Blue and never goes Green, from what I read it should change when charged? Is that only Samsung devices?

- Answer It should charge at 7.5W after the update. The light will not turn green when charging Apple phones, but does a great job on my X.

- Answer Supposedly once Apple releases the software update to allow "fast" 7.5 watt charging, this base will allow that. Blue light for regular charging and purple for fast charging.

- Answer Hey Eric I have the S8 (not the +). I have tested this gear's ability to wirelessly charge my S8 while in (3) different cases, one slim, one medium, one as thick as an Otter Defender. It charged it in all three!
