- Answer Dear PC123, Okay, your HP DX2200 Microtower is a 2006 model. I found that it had a 160 GB SATA HD in the original case. Based on my experience, I think the 1 TB SATA HD will be recognized by your HP DX2200 Microtower during installation. Go for it. Best of luck.

- Answer No. This is an internal hard drive for desktops only. However, they do offer internal hard drives for laptops. Just check to make sure the connection port is compatible with your Macbook first before purchasing.
